The inspiration for this painting derived from observing the colours of a goldfinch, a flash of exoticism in your English garden.
Tempering the colors on the remainder of the painting compliments these dazzling birds, whilst white foxgloves accompany the birds with a lemon Echinacea.
The alabaster and gold garden is a tranquil place.
