Squirrel eating a sunflower seed
Description
Note from the Artist
Every autumn I watch the squirrels pull down the sunflowers to eat the seeds. It always makes me smile. This cheerful Lino cut Is a reflection of that joy. It has been made from three separate Lino plates cut, inked and pressed on to the same piece of paper.
Linocut is a printmaking technique in which a sheet of linoleum is used for a relief surface. The design is cut with V-shaped chisels. The linoleum sheet is inked with a roller and then impressed onto paper with a printing press.
This original hand carved, inked and pressed print is one of 20.
