Blackbirds on Echinacea
Description
Note from the Artist
Echinacea grow in my garden with their hot-pink cone-shaped spires. This print is inspired by the Echinachea. It has been made from 3 separate lino plates cut, inked and pressed on to the same piece of paper. Linocut is a printmaking technique in which a sheet of linoleum is used for a relief surface. The design is cut with V-shaped chisels. The linoleum sheet is inked with a roller and then impressed onto paper with a printing press.
This original hand-carved, inked and pressed print is 1/20.
